The Wedding

Save the Date
We sent these out to our OOT guests 7 months before the Big Day so they can travel. We would've sent them a year out if the wedding was a destination wedding or over a holiday. 7 months was enough for our guests.
Mass Programs
Here's the cover. It was a painstakingly slow to collect these 12x12 scrapbook paper. I was so in love with them that I went into the Michael's store every weekend for months to get the amount I needed. Call me obsessed.

Inside the program we'll have just the titles of the parts of the Liturgy with the religious clipart below, which we felt would emphasize the the Liturgy of the Word and the Eucharist. The last page of the Mass program will have the address and map to the reception hall for those who forgot to bring their invites.

Photo sharing card
We will invite our guests to share their pictures with us on our photo hosting site. We'll print this information on business cards from Vista Print and then leave them 1. on top of each napkin at each place setting, and 2. with their Thank You cards. The inspiration for the design came from the invitation suite below (to the left). Our actual is to the right of that.

I Spy Game
The basis for this project was to get people walking about and to increase the chances of better images taken for our photo hosting site.

Whether your skin feels dry or your hair out of place
You're not feeling so fresh, or whatever the case.
We've put together a basket to help you along.
Now hurry back out before you miss the next song.

Newly Nuptials Return Address
I was ecstatic to win a custom stamp from etsy Purple Lemon Designs by entering a comment on her blog. Our envelopes will be gorgeously adorned with this stamp (but with our name and our address) as new Mr. & Mrs.
Etiquette Tips
TIP: When in doubt about which source of etiquette to follow, most brides consider Crane and Co. to have more authority in the stationery arena over even Martha Stewart and the Emily Post Institute.
Planning Tips
TIP: Save The Dates (STDs) only tell the DTL: Date, Time, Location. (And by location, I mean city and state, not the name of the venue.) That's it. Otherwise it may as well be an invitation. You can add your website for travel information and hotel reservations on the bottom, "Accomodations and Travel Information: www.yourbeautifulwedding.com."
TIP: Some wedding planners suggest sending out STDs anywhere from 6-12 months in advance depending on whether it is a destination wedding or a wedding occurring during a holiday. They also suggest leaving at least one month between the STD and the invitation. Any sooner than a month and the STD might as well be an invitation.
TIP: For your STDs, make sure you have a plan on what to do if the invitees say they can't make it. Would you still send an invitation or would you forego it? It's up to you. Some say yes because they may want to still feel included or circumstances may later change. You might want to include a little note saying that you know they said they couldn't make it, but you'd love to have them if their plans change. And some say no because it may seem like fishing for a gift. The choice is yours.
TIP: If your paper is dark, you may only be able to use white ink, which is not compatible for home printers.
TIP: If you're having a photo sharing site, make a filter of the wedding guests who are on Facebook and write this information in your status so they know to bring their cameras.

Vietnamese tips
TIP: If you are DIY printing in Vietnamese, make sure you download the free fonts from Viet Unicode at the top under Publishing, Display, or Script. Only these Unicode fonts have the proper typographic ligatures. Do not use the "Symbols" in Word.
