Planning Tips
TIP: Choose the time of year for your wedding first before you choose your color scheme so that it can be authentic to the season. For example, you may envision a pink wedding with pink sweet pea flowers, but if it's in November, it doesn't pull together.
TIP: When choosing your color scheme, pick at least three colors, but also try to layer. Style Me Pretty suggests, "varying your shades of color will give depth and a dimension to your style. That way, you're not seeing blocks of color, but a perfectly cohesive, seamless affair." For example, the board below is purple, and we have not only purple but royal blue and cornflower. Or say your color scheme is pink. You can also layer it with some magenta and salmon.
