Planning Tips
TIP: Choosing your photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make, next to the groom, of course. Looking at portfolios is a good start when eliminating choices. Once you are interested, I advice these two steps: 1. I recommend looking at the real wedding coverage from a single wedding. You will want to know the hit rate or consistency of that photographer. Details like unlimited time, second shooter, or albums take second place because at the end of the day what matters are the images. 2. My other recommendation is looking at the style.
TIP: For cultural events, designate a translator for your photographer. It's very helpful.
TIP: Some guides advice one photographer per 100 guests.
TIP: Designate a picture gatherer who knows everyone's names. That way, everyone's ready to go when the time comes.
TIP: If your photographer gives you print rights, I recommend using mpix for quality paper and color accuracy and going with matte finish. I would not use CVS or Walgreens. It won't do your beautiful photos justice.
